Continuous learning was my primary aim after graduating from university, because I consider it as an essential tool to expand my knowledge and skills in order to reach my goals. To keep up with today’s rapidly changing digital era, I need to stay up to date with the new technical resources. People might wonder why is it necessary for me as a graphic designer to take a Digital Marketing Nanodegree Course if I could design attractive and appealing designs that will reach customers effectively.
Nowadays things have changed, digital marketing has become an essential marketing tool for businesses to increase their profit, since more and more customers are online. We are no more seeing traditional marketing, which I call random marketing, because it is spread randomly through TV, radio, billboard without reaching its specified target customers. Therefore, I thought about entering the Digital marketing field to expand my knowledge in order to benefit my business and the company I am working in. However, I didn’t know how to begin with the first step. Beginnings were always challenging and hard for me.
Many questions were popping in my mind on how to actually start my own business and market for it. Should I take masters in marketing? Take marketing courses? Or courses are enough to gain the knowledge?
Days passed by while being busy working on several projects, a close person recommended the Digital Marketing Nanodegree course by Udacity. I looked it up, and was amazed by the program, because it doesn’t only teach you the disciplines of digital marketing, it lets you experience real life projects by running real campaigns and analyzing them. So, I thought this is the beginning of learning about an interesting new field which will have a huge effect on my business as a freelance graphic designer, and will add a lot to the company I am working at.
